The Hoff Foundation is a private arts foundation formed in 2008 with a commitment to and passion for the arts. The Hoff Foundation plays a significant and unique role in the development of the arts in Southern California by providing quarterly grants totaling $1500 to artists and/or art organizations that are based in Orange County and/or Long Beach.
Artist GrantsThe Hoff Foundation awards Artist Grants to provide monetary support designed to encourage the continuing development of Orange County and Long Beach’s creative artists who are seriously committed to their art form and who have a demonstrated history of professional activity in the region. Artist Grants recognize professional working artists* and enable them to continue to pursue their creative work. Quarterly Artist Grants may be awarded to a single artist or to several artists. No specific project needs to be carried out with the funds awarded. Projects eligible for Artist Grants may include:
Organization GrantsThe Hoff Foundation awards Organization Grants to provide general operating support for the administrative and artistic development of arts organizations with emphasis on encouraging professional and semi-professional groups. Quarterly Organization Grants may be awarded to a single organization or to several organizations. No specific project needs to be carried out with the funds awarded. This grant program defines “working artists” as adults who have received training in an artistic discipline or tradition, spend at least ten hours a week on their artwork, self-define as professional artists, and derive income from work in which they use their expert artistic practices and skills. |
